About Carnaby Creative
Specialist training grounded in clinical expertise, person-centred values, and a commitment to improving the lives of autistic people and those with learning disabilities.
Who We Are
Our Story
Carnaby Creative was established to bridge the gap between clinical expertise and accessible professional development. We provide training and consultancy to families and professionals supporting children and adults who are autistic or have learning disabilities.
Our approach is informed by over 35 years of being alongside people who access services, listening to their stories, and learning about what does and does not work when taking a person-centred approach to developing effective support.
We work with NHS trusts, social care providers, charities, support organisations, individual families, and legal professionals. Our training is specifically designed for different groups — both personal and professional — with the aim of enhancing understanding of neurodivergence and how best to support individuals in ways that are appropriate to their environment.
We are also developing a tiered learning system to support a gradual increase in depth of knowledge, from introductory courses through to advanced specialist training. Our goal is to consistently upskill and support those who want to learn and practise effectively.

Our Values
Evidence-Based
All training is grounded in current research and clinical best practice, ensuring that what we teach reflects the most up-to-date understanding of autism and neurodivergence.
Person-Centred
The individual is at the heart of every approach and strategy we teach. We believe that when the person is placed at the centre, better outcomes follow.
Socially Inclusive
We champion neuroaffirmative practices and are committed to promoting environments where autistic people and those with learning disabilities are valued, heard, and supported to live the lives they choose.
Practical Impact
Our training is designed to translate directly into improved daily practice. We focus on giving professionals the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people they support.
